We received the following from the school…
It is with deep regret that i write to inform you of the passing of Suresh Gupta, who was with AES for the long period of years (from 1964 to 20). He worked initially as a lab assistant with MS and HS students, then taught typing & keyboarding (when the initiation into the computer world was happening), but his passion was always photography which he taught in the Arts department, running a successful dark room too. He was a regular instructor with the Adult Education program too. While at AES, he earned his Masters from Houston University.
Many of the yearbooks had a large input from him and his students. In fact many of the black and white framed photos you may see around campus have his stamp on them.
I met him last month and he was high-spirited and happy as i have always known him to be, and now after a brief illness he is gone. My condolences to Rani, his wife, his son Nitin, and his daughter Veenu’s family as well as to his extended family and friends whom he loved to be in touch with.
