Melinda Miller Collins Class of 1965

3 April 2008

It was great to receive the AIS newsletter today. Not a lot of entries from my class, but fun to read. I was there from 1960-62, would have been class of 1965.

I graduated from high school in Ankara, Turkey, attended American University in D.C. and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I taught architectural drawing and perspective for many years at several colleges and retired two years ago to devote myself full-time to painting. Website: I have 5 shows coming up this year.

I've been married for 29 years to Carroll Collins, an attorney in San Francisco. We have three sons, one in law school, one at S.F. State as a marketing major, and one who is a ceramic artist.

My father worked at USIA. He and my mother both passed away in December of 2007.

After all this time, it's great to be back in touch with the original "Taj" group who remember our wonderful crumbling school building of the early 60's.
