Sif Sørensen AES class of 1991 siffer99@hongnet.dk

Sif Sorensen and familyAs promised, a little summary of my life since I left AES. I left AES in 1988 to move back to Denmark. There, I went to boarding school and took 10th grade again. It was hard to leave all my friends and family behind, yet it was nice to come home after so many years overseas.

After that I moved to my mother's house in Hellerup, where I lived with 3 roommates until 1992, when my mother moved home. During that time, I worked as a au pair, where I took care of 2 baby boys. After that I started schooling to become a professional caretaker and nurse's aid and moved into my first apartment in Copenhagen. During this time I had my son, Patrick (1994), who is now 11 years old. We have been just the two of os for the most part. During the years I worked as a nurse's aid, primarily taking care of the elderly and handicapped people in their own home.

In 2001, I started taking some classe so that I could get into nursing school. It was an old dream to become a nurse. I started nursing school in 2002 and finished in January 2005.

About the time I started school agian, I met my boyfriend, Martin. We have now been together for 3 years and have lived together since the summer of 2004. In May 2005 we bought a great big house in Høng, where we live. I got at job at a hospital that specializes in epilepsy, called Kolonien Filadefia. It is the only hospital in Denmark of its kind. I work on a ward for mentally and physically disabled people with epilepsy. I love this job as each day is different.

This is a summary of what has happened in my life since we were all together at AES. I hope to reunite with many of you, as you often have been in my thoughts over the past many years. My e-mail is now on our class page. If any of you use MSN Messenger, I hope to see you there.

I have attached a picture of Patrick, Martin and myself from our trip to the States in fall of 2005.

Lots of love,

Sif
