Yves Heller AES class of 1982 yheller@yahoo.com

September 20, 2007

After AES, I graduated from Lewis and Clark College and then got a Masters. I then moved to Mexico where I taught international affairs and English at a rich kids' university. I got tired of that and decided to do something more "humanitarian" and have since worked primarily with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). I'm currently assigned in Bogota, Colombia where I work as the communications coordinator and spokesperson. I worked quite a bit with the army, the rebels and the media. The work is hairy and extremely stressful but I thoroughly enjoy it.

I'm married and have a seven year old daughter. Patrick is teaching at Brown and my sister is working at a psychiatric nurse in cheeseland. They both have two kids. My parents retired several years ago and live close to Berne.

I travel on occasion to DC so let me know if anyone is on the east coast. Would be cool to stay in touch. Who's going to the 2010 AES reunion?

take care,

Yves
