Daniela Avitabile AES class of 1977 dan_avitabile@hotmail.com May 17, 2005 Hello, I just wanted to tell you that a week ago (May 10) I sent an [alumni association dues] check for 25.00 dollars by mail. I hope it has arrived by now. I always enjoy visiting this website. I just looked at the phone book. It was from 4 years before I arrived and almost all the names had changed. However, I recognized a few (Margaret Siebel, Pieter and Marjolein Ravensburg, Robert Marston, Barbara and Linda Munoz, Yangzom Thobgye-Ros). I liked the photos from Las Vegas. We went in May 2000, while we were living in Vancouver, and stayed at the Excalibur, which I enjoyed seeing. I also contacted Mia, although I didn't know her, because I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of AES as it is today. Bye from Daniela
April 28, 2006 Hello, this is Daniela Avitabile sending you two pictures for the website. One is of me and my AES friend Peter Johnson, when he visited me here in Rome with his wife at the beginning of March (as he already wrote). The last time we saw each other was in 1976 in Delhi, as 15-year-old 10th graders. Exactly 30 years later, we met in Rome, Italy, where I live. This picture was taken in Piazza Navona. The other picture is of my family: my husband Marco, our son Adriano (12), me, and Emilia (15). Their last name is Sbroscia, but mine is still Avitabile. In Italy, you can be married 5 times or 0 times.... your last name never changes.
Marco and I both work for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We've lived in Liege (Belgium) and Vancouver, BC recently, and will probably be moving again sometime in the future. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me! Daniela
