Joo-hyun Ahn AES class of 1992 joo_ahn@yahoo.com
It was a nice surprise to see such an active interaction among the AIS-AES alumni. I was so glad to see some of old friends and acquaintances on the homepage and to read how they are doing. I am Joo-hyun Ahn, the class of 92. Although I've only attended AES for two years, I've spent five years in India and I remember the AES days as the "golden days" of my life. I would love to meet my old buddies someday. If I keep in touch with the homepage, I guess that wish may come true. The story about Saminaz running into Dr. Beck was almost shocking!! Hopefully, something like that would happen to me sometime. Actually, I did run into my AES art teacher in Michigan during my exchange student program...that was quite random, too! Just a brief story of my life after leaving India.... I majored in English Literature in college and studied Comparative Literature in graduate school. Got married in 1999, lived in Japan, USA and now am living in Korea. Had three kids in just four years (one girl and two boys...that was quite hectic), now the first one is six. As of now, I'm a Montessori teacher and I'm also studying theology to integrate Montessori educa- I hope to see more of my classmates' news on the AIS-AES homepage. India is like my second homeland and my parents are still there, so most likely, I will visit New Delhi from time to time. If there is a reunion there sometime in the future, and if it coincides with my visit, it'd be great. Well, keep up the good work of maintaining this great website! I appreciate it. Thanks and take care. Regards, Joo-hyun Ahn
