February 2, 2007

My brothers and I attended AES from December 1985 through May 1988. I graduated with the class of ’87 and went on to the University of Virginia (Class of ’91) and then Wake Forest University School of Law (Class of ’94). I have lived in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1994, and I am a lawyer with a practice that focuses on representing public schools around in the U.S. in cases involving students with disabilities. In my spare time, I surf, ski, play the banjo, read and travel.

I met my husband when I was surfing with some girlfriends in Costa Rica. He’s Australian, and was bumming around surfing and traveling at the time. We got married in December of 2005 in Australia. We’re moving to Hawaii this month to be closer to the beach and to be halfway between our two families.

My brother Josh is married with 2 daughters and another on the way, living in rural New Hampshire. He’s big into snowboarding and surfing and plays rugby with a local team. My brother Sam is married and living in New York City. He works in finance, but also dabbles in music and photography. He and his band, Lipstik, recently put out a CD.

We all look back on our time in India as some of the best years of our lives. I find myself constantly drawn to Indian literature and movies, and I hope to get back someday soon.
